In preparation for a year of service in Kamuli, Uganda with the Mennonite Central Committee’s (MCC) SALT (serving and learning together) Program– yes, lots of acronyms!– I was encouraged to create a blog to document this experience.
This is that blog.
Read on and enjoy.

Hello Megan,
It is Tom Malinaric from Solid Rock. I enjoy reading your blog. You are an excellent writer and it is obvious that God is using this time in your life mightily. If you should ever be in personal need of some financial aid/help or you come in contact with a family or individual that is in need (I am guessing that this is daily?), please let me know as Mary and I would like to see if we can help. When I look around, I see that my life is entirely to “comfortable”, so please don’t be shy!
Hope all is well on the other side of the world.
Tom
I came across your blog and i was very interested in your great writings.
I just came back to the USA from Sudan, but i used to live in Buvuma island in lake victoria and I travel to Uganda frequently. I have close friends in Kamuli.
Herbert Kabuluku from K amuli Baptist Church is one of them plus many others. I Hope Uganda presses in your heart a deep sense of responsability to act based on what your eyes have seen during this time.
Be blessed.
Ruth
